Helene puolestaan oli aivan ymmällään. Hän oli ollut erinomaisen tyytyväinen nuoreen tanskalaistyttöön, asetti sen esikuvaxi Fine tyttärellensä - eikä vähintäkään aavistanut, mitä hameen alla oli liikkunut. Täähän on aivan arkipäiväistä herrasväen reviirinvalvontaa, ei tässä ole jumalalla mitään osuutta. Tai paremminkin: tähänhän se vanhurskaus ja laupeus lopultakin jämähtää, tätähän se on loppupeleissä.
